The AAU laboratory develops an approach centered on the atmospheres of environments, urban and territorial situations, project processes, and the associated challenges (social, political, ecological, etc.). The research focuses on the physical, social, and sensory dimensions of spaces, emphasizing an immersed, situated, multiscale, and multisensory perspective. Various approaches—combining social sciences, design sciences, creative practices, and engineering—are emphasized through multidisciplinary or narrowly interdisciplinary frameworks.
