Research Topics

The Biology and Biotechnology for Health Laboratory conducts research covering both the fundamental aspects of cell signaling and translational approaches. The goal is to work “from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside” by using advanced biotechnologies—including proteomics, genomics, and drug discovery—and by developing innovative biomedical devices. Research projects focus on processes occurring under physiological conditions, such as angiogenesis and tissue repair, as well as those occurring under pathological conditions, such as rare diseases and certain cancers.
