The “&” in the name of the Litt&Arts laboratory reflects the laboratory’s scientific ambition: to foster fruitful intersections between literary studies and the performing and screen arts. These intersections take two main forms: the first is “digital convergence,” which allows for new ways of engaging not only with texts but also with images, voices, and gestures; the second is research-creation supported by the Maison de la Création et de l’Innovation (MaCI in Grenoble), which features state-of-the-art facilities for film, theater, dance, and circus arts, as well as for digital text-based projects.
