The Cell and Plant Physiology Laboratory studies the functional organization of cells, particularly plant cells. This research, conducted at both the molecular and cellular levels, is then contextualized within the whole plant throughout its development. The effects of fluctuating environmental conditions are studied. The goal of all this work is to gain a better understanding of cellular mechanisms—including metabolic pathways, cell division, and morphogenesis—at the cellular and tissue levels.
